On the 16th of March in the premises of Vinnitsa Regional narcological dispensary hosted a round table, which was dedicated to develop the Regional strategies of transitional period regarding harm reduction, HIV prevention, OST programs for vulnerable communities.

On the 16th of March in the premises of Vinnitsa Regional narcological dispensary hosted a round table, which was dedicated to develop the Regional strategies of transitional period regarding harm reduction, HIV prevention, OST programs for vulnerable communities. At the event was attended by representatives of state structures, head doctors of specialized medical institutions, representatives of vulnerable communities and NGOs.

The participants have stressed that is necessary to develop a plan of transitional period regarding the transfer of harm reduction programs from financing by the Global Fund to finance of local budgets. This plan will support by orders of Healthcare department, regulating mechanism of transfer OST drugs and handouts from the main disponent of funds directly to executors and execution of harm reduction and reporting.

The Regional Coordinator of “Gay-alliance” in Vinnitsa region Tatyana Nikelsen has stressed the importance clear distribution of responsibilities and preparation all above mentioned documents in the shortest dates.

The roundtable participants commissioned to Nikelsen in a monthly term to prepare a draft Strategy and the transition period plan for key groups and draft Strategy which describes the mechanisms of interaction between various state structures and NGOs regarding drugs.
