PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL” participated in the National Strategic Dialogue on sustainability and resilience of the HIV response
Representatives of PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL” took part in the National Strategic Dialogue on the sustainability and resilience of the HIV and tuberculosis response in Ukraine in the context of ongoing war and the post-war period. The event took place in Kyiv on March 30 – April 1, 2026, and focused on the strategic alignment of investments from the Global Fund, the U.S. Government, development partners, and domestic financing for the HIV and TB response.
The dialogue centered on the sustainability of the national response, preparation of the Global Fund Grant Cycle 8 funding request for 2027-2029, and the development of coordinated approaches to ensure continuity of services during wartime and recovery. Special attention was given to reviewing achievements, gaps, and challenges in programme implementation in 2024-2025, as well as to epidemiological trends related to HIV, TB, and viral hepatitis and projected needs for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care, and support.
The programme also covered the integration of medical and social services across the civilian, penitentiary, and military sectors, the development of people-centred service delivery models, digital monitoring and recording tools, co-financing mechanisms, social contracting, and budget advocacy. Human rights, the removal of legal barriers to services, community-led monitoring, and the role of communities in shaping the HIV and TB response were also key parts of the discussion.
For PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL”, participation in such national-level discussions is an important part of its advocacy and programme work. It creates space to contribute to strategic decisions that will shape future financing, service delivery models, and the sustainability of support for people living with HIV, people who use drugs, people affected by tuberculosis, and other key communities.
PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL” remains committed to supporting human rights-based, community-led, and cross-sectoral approaches so that HIV and TB services in Ukraine remain resilient, accessible, and responsive to people’s needs.
