PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL” announces the launch of applications to support microbusiness initiatives
PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL” announces the launch of applications for the BLOOM programme, under which self-employed individuals, aspiring entrepreneurs, micro-, small and medium-sized enterprises can receive individual cash assistance to start, restore or develop their own business.
BLOOM is a programme implemented by the international humanitarian organization Mercy Corps to support people and businesses affected by the war. Its goal is to strengthen household economic resilience and create opportunities for a stable income.
Support may be provided to self-employed individuals, aspiring entrepreneurs, internally displaced persons, veterans, representatives of vulnerable households, ethnic communities and LGBTIQ+ people living in territories controlled by the Government of Ukraine.
The programme is available in Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. For representatives of LGBTIQ+ communities, it is also available in Kyiv oblast and the city of Kyiv.
The programme provides two types of support:
1. from USD 1,000 to USD 3,000 – for starting or developing self-employment;
2. from USD 1,000 to USD 5,000 – for registered businesses that have an active sole proprietorship (FOP) or another officially registered business entity.
Applications will be assessed based on the social vulnerability of the household and the economic viability of the business idea, including a clear business plan, realistic financial calculations, understanding of the market and potential to increase household income.
Applications can only be submitted after mandatory registration on the website: bloom.mercycorps.org
The deadline for the first wave of applications is 10 July 2026 inclusive.
BLOOM programme is implemented by the BLOOM Consortium, consisting of Mercy Corps, Swisscontact and Right to Protection (R2P), with funding from UK aid from the UK government.
