Representatives of PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL” joined the campaign “Life Prevails: 25 Years of the Fight”
Representatives of PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL” attended the campaign “Life Prevails: 25 Years of the Fight”, held to mark the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial.
This day holds special meaning for civil society, patient-led organisations, communities, and everyone involved in the response to the HIV epidemic. It is not only a moment to remember people whose lives were lost to AIDS, but also a reminder of our shared responsibility to those who need support, treatment, rights protection, and access to quality services today.
This year’s campaign is held under the slogan “Life Prevails: 25 Years of the Fight” – in solidarity with the largest patient-led movement, “100% Life”, and in memory of everyone who fought the disease. The HIV response in Ukraine began 25 years ago with a small group of people fighting for their lives, access to treatment, and the right to be heard. Today, it has grown into a powerful movement for change, bringing together patients, activists, doctors, social workers, civil society organisations, and partners.
For PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL”, participation in the event was an important gesture of solidarity with people living with HIV, key communities, partners, and everyone working every day to overcome stigma and discrimination. In its work, the organisation consistently promotes a human rights-based approach, access to services, non-discrimination, and respect for the dignity of every person.
Today, the fight against the HIV epidemic is not only a medical issue. It is also about equality, social support, legal protection, overcoming prejudice, and creating an environment where people are not afraid to seek help.
PO “ALLIANCE.GLOBAL” extends its gratitude to partners, friends, and all organisations that continue to stand with people on this path. We remember those we have lost. We support those who live and fight. We continue working for a life free from stigma, discrimination, and fear.
