Strengthening the capacity of MSM and improving MSM’s access to HIV services

The project includes three areas: PrEP, OCF-CITI, CHEMSEX.
PrEP Direction
PrEP is a pill that, simply put, prevents HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) from infecting your body.
If PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis) is literally PRE-exposure prophylaxis, pills that are taken a certain time before sexual contact.
Providing access to pre-exposure prophylaxis services – the use of ARV drugs by HIV-negative individuals is a recognized means of preventing HIV among people at risk of HIV infection. PrEP is becoming an important and appropriate element of reducing the risk of HIV transmission in those people who use condoms periodically.
Studies conducted worldwide have proven the effectiveness of oral PrEP among MSM and indicate that with daily use of the drug, the rate of HIV transmission is reduced to over 99%. With high adherence, PrEP is one of the recommended WHO (World Health Organization) interventions for people at significant risk of HIV infection.
