Today, on 02 March, in the Мережа ЛЖВ hosted the second meeting of the Working Group on mobilization, advocacy and the rights of communities on writing a new national proposal to the Global Fund for 2018-20.
Ensuring key the organizational capacity of communities and their rights is one of the main criteria of providing quality services based on communities, ensuring the sustainability of health and social services in the area of HIV/AIDS and their support from state and local budgets.
At the trend should be consolidation, selfregulation, leadership, visibility, gain influence of communities and providing resources. Also, a necessary condition is creating a favorable social and legal environment, including the change in public opinion about people such groups as sex workers, MSM and drug users.
Next steps:
Over the next week we will finalize all our proposals by working in certain subgroups, such as people living with drug addiction; LGBT community; sex workers; people who affected by TB; positive women; adolescents; prisoners / former prisoners.
