In April-May 2016, representatives of the Odessa Regional Council of communities have taken part in activities that were aimed at implementation of social order at the regional level, such as the contest for social projects of NGOs. Social projects should fill in the gaps in assisting to unprotected social groups, including people living with HIV, drug users, sex workers, MSM, TB patients, persons who have returned from imprisonment, orphans, people with disabilities, families and children who themselves in difficult circumstances, ATO`s participants, internally displaced people and others.
Conducting of competition dedicated to social projects in Odesa region perhaps in two regional programs:
1) Social support of population for 2016-2017: “protection and care”;
2) Counteraction to HIV infection/AIDS in 2016-2018, that approved by the session of Regional Council from 21.12.2015.
During May in Odessa Regional State Administration was held a roundtable (16.05.2016) on identification of priority issues, preparation of documents for the implementation the contest of social projects with participation by the Department of Health and Social Protection, representatives of structural subdivisions of Regional State Administration, NGOs, the members of the Regional Council communities, Deputies of Regional Council. Later this issue was discussed at the meetings of the Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Policy of the Odessa Regional Council concerning identified priority problems, approval of documents for conducting the call for proposals for NGO`s, financing winners from the regional budget in 2016.
By the result of this work will be approved order about the competition of social projects in 2016 with specified procedures of the competition, the application form, nominations and terms, which is expected in the coming days. After that on the site of Odessa Regional State Administration will be posted an information about the conditions a competition of social projects for participation of NGOs.
