Today, February 16, at the premises of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, chaired by Vice Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko took place a meeting of the National Council on HIV / AIDS and TB (CCM), on which, except members of the National Council, was attended by representatives of national and international organizations and key communities activists of: drug users, MSM and sex workers, including a representative of Alliance.Global
At the meeting have discussed many important issues, but special attention was given to the following:
1). Regarding the introduction to the National Council representatives of key groups regarding HIV and TB. Activists of key groups and other participants have stressed the earliest possible inclusion of new members from the communities, which is a necessary qualification requirement of the Global Fund for filing a new application for 2018-20 from Ukraine.
2). On approval of composition the Group on elaborating the Draft request Ukraine to the Global Fund for funding program in 2018-20 on TB and HIV/AIDS with the full application of the revision.
P.S. The first time in the 12-year history of the National Council on HIV/AIDS and TB in the main building of the Government of Ukraine at the same table are sitting its Chairman – Vice Premier Minister and representatives of three most vulnerable groups: people living with drug addiction; sex workers and men who have sex with men which may express their position!
