On 23-24 February by expert of NGO “Gay-alliance” Anatoly Nishtuk was conducted a visit of technical assistance in Kherson.
During the providing assistance, together with the regional coordinator of the “Gay-alliance” in Kherson region Eugenia Lysak and leaders of vulnerable communities the region, were identified strategic advocacy objectives that will be resolved by us with the help of Kherson Regional Council communities (RCC) during 2016.
Among such main objectives are:
1. Development a strategy and transition plan from funding for health and social programs to combat HIV/AIDS at the expense of the Global Fund to financing of programs by facilities of local budget.
2. Advocacy of inclusion for HIV prevention interventions for key populations with the necessary funding to regional and / or municipal HIV/AIDS programs.
3. Development and implementation a mechanism of social order for vulnerable groups.
4. Advocacy of development and adoption the regional program for promoting of employment for former prisoners.
5. Opening the OST site on the basis of Hola Prystan Central Regional Hospital.
6. Advocacy of inclusion measures to reduce stigma and discrimination towards representatives of MSM, sex workers and IDUs to regional or municipal HIV/AIDS program.
