Public Organization “Alliance.Global” within the framework of the “Bridging the Gaps 2.0” project, supported by the The Global Forum on MSM & HIV conducted a training for trainers (TfT) on the MSMIT implementation in Ukraine – is an international guide for implementation of integrated programs with significant MSM participation in response to the spread of HIV and STIs “, which was held in Kyiv on December 4-6, 2017.
The event was aimed at preparation of trainers for MSMIT implementing in Ukraine at the local level – the latest international guide on the implementation of comprehensive HIV and STI programs for men who have sex with men and strengthening the capacity of community-based organizations.
During the event 12 participants:
1). Received theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of organizing and conducting of social trainings, other educational activities.
2). Learned how to use correctly the MSMIT guide in Ukrainian realities on the following topics: empowering communities and they rights; programs for providing by condoms and lubricants; innovative interventions for MSM in the field of health care; strategic information, etc.
After the training, all participants will conduct post-training activities aimed at promoting the MSMIT principles in the regions for members of the local TB and HIV/AIDS coordinating councils and inter-sectoral working groups, representatives of medical institutions and health departments, for representatives of HIV service NGOs and other stakeholders.
This is especially important in the context of the transition of all programs for MSM from donor funding to financing from local budgets.
